Watchmaker Foundation
At this very moment, someone is creating something that can inspire and beautify the world. Whether they know it yet or not, they are going to be met with a financial roadblock that immediately stops their progress. Watchmaker Foundation’s mission is to alleviate those roadblocks.
Watchmaker Foundation will clear the way for creators of all types. To facilitate focus, responsible growth, and effective use of funds, we will operate within defined initiatives, each initiative being tailored for a specific type of creator. In time, we will have dozens of initiatives.
The first initiative is for authors, and is outlined below.
If you have an idea for an initiative, please reach out to me directly - brandon@watchmakerfoundation.org.
Author Initiative
I wrote my first book when I was 17 years old. After two years of writing and editing, I finally had the creation I dreamed of. I didn’t realize the biggest obstacles were still ahead of me.
Like most aspiring authors, I wasn’t commercially published - I was on my own. Suppliers wouldn’t give me reasonable pricing unless I could place an order of thousands of copies, which I didn’t have the money for. With limited options, I self-published the book through an Amazon subsidiary. They took the majority of sales revenue. Discouraged and exhausted, I had nothing more to give to the dream. The culminating project of my childhood, the story I crafted through late nights and early mornings, quietly faded away.
With the Author Initiative, Watchmaker Foundation is finding authors who are unable to afford to get copies of their own book. We pay for the printing of the first 100 copies of their exceptional novel.
Author Initiative - Details
-
Countless authors have the same story I share above. Years of work, a story worth telling, and an impenetrable barrier in their way. Very few authors have the fortune of having a commercial publisher, or have the resources independently to get their book out into the world.
-
Watchmaker Foundation is searching for authors who have demonstrated an exceptional ambition to write a novel that will be a positive contribution to the world.
You can learn about the author application on the Creator page here.

For selected authors, Watchmaker Foundation will pay for the printing of 100 copies of their book. Additionally, we will curate a page for them and their book on watchmakerfoundation.org so they can have an online presence within a reputable organization.
Watchmaker Foundation raises funds through donations and book sales. We’re a 501c3, which means all donations are tax-deductible.
